Guardian Gantry Quotation

When we are preparing a quotation for your gantry hire we consider many factors. There are five components to a gantry quotation;

  1. How many lineal meters of gantry are required,
  2. Installation cost,
  3. Hire cost per week,
  4. Dismantle cost, and
  5. Optional extras (eg. ply hoarding, stairs, gates, mesh screens).

Factors influencing your Quotation

Therefore, the price of your gantry will depend on:

  1. How much area you need covered with gantry
  2. Site access
  3. Hours of operation, and:
  4. The length of your hire.
1. How much area you need covered with gantry

Gantry is used to provide overhead protection from falling objects. We can assist you to undertake a risk assessment of where there is likelihood of falling objects during construction. Consider where lifting of materials will occur, where there is a risk of debris or water falling on people. You should consider that generally building entrances, the footpath, laneways and fire exit doors should be covered.

We will examine any site plans you have, and visit site to confirm the exact locations and lengths of gantry you’ll need. You can send us a marked up site plan showing where you deem the at-risk locations are.

We can then determine how many lineal meters of gantry you will require, and the exact sizing of our modular units that we can offer you.

2. Site Access

Please tell us where on your site your gantry will be located. How easy or difficult this location is, will influence the installation method and the timeframe needed to install your gantry.

As an example, if you are installing gantry along a straight, level footpath with no obstacles (eg. trees, benches, bus signs), then this will usually be the quickest type of installation. On the other hand, if your gantry is needed for protection in an atrium inside a shopping center, we will have to put our gantry on wheels and slowly push and maneuver the gantry into place which is more time-consuming.

3. Hours of Operation

If you have any specific requirements for night or weekend work, please let us know when quoting. We will be able to accurately factor in overtime rates for our team and crane sub-contractor.

4. Length of Hire

Gantry hire is charged on a weekly basis (or part thereof). So please tell us the amount of time you’ll require the gantry onsite. If you’re unsure, you’re better to tell us your minimum hire period, and if you go over, we will simply invoice you monthly for the additional weeks of hire.
