Using A Gantry as a Billboard

Yesterday we had a phone call from a potential client putting together a tender poposal. The construction site will have more than 10,000 people passing it everyday.

One of the first questions she asked was “how can we make the site look great to passers by?”

It’s a great question because gantry protecting the footpath is one of the first things people see on a construction site.

If you’re strategic about it, you can use that gantry to capture attention and set a great first impression by:

Now, we’re working with their signage supplier to coordinate the gantry and signage sizes for maximum street appeal. We reckon this will radically increase their chances of getting their tender across the line by adding extra value to the Principal Contractor.

The Gantry is for compliance. advertising your brand. safety. increasing space.

Here’s an example of this in action. Shown here is the Luna Apartments site at Goodwin Drive, Burleigh Heads, being constructed by McNab. Here, we installed 25 lineal meters of Guardian Gantry. There are 3 concrete counterweights on the front of the gantry, and hoarding to the back of the gantry. On top of the gantry are handrails for edge protection, and site amenities provided by Royal Wolf.

On this site, the McNab marketing team installed:

  • Large Vinyl signage showing artist renders and contact info to drive apartment sales,
  • McNab stickers attached to the concrete counterweights along the street front,
  • Branded mesh banners attached to the edge protection

Additionally, McNab supplied us with their brand colour code. The gantry was painted green to maximise brand consistency and provide a backdrop for the promotional material.

We worked with the McNab marketing team to supply them the correct sizing of all of our components, so that signage could be accurately ordered.

Overall, the gantry has acted as a branded backdrop for maximum-impact signage for both McNab and the sales team.

Safeguarding your Site. Reputation. Profits.
